So now the idiot- in- chief speaks in Brazil and tells all
listening that we must see to it that democracy reaches them too. I understand there was an obvious aim at Chavez and Castro. Again I must ask, why is our system the only acceptable form of government as far as this idiot and his honcho's are concerned. Is it any wonder why we are so universally mocked or hated? This administration has made us the laughing stock of the world. I wonder if we will survive until he is out of office. How many countries are we directly or indirectly threatening now? I started to count but after 6, I got a headache.

3. remember Rice's antiChavez comments after US backed coup attempt
I remember being stunned when I read her comments, found here

http://www.truthout.org/docs_02/05.01B.Rice.Coup.htm

....

Just because Chavez was elected doesn't mean he exhibited democratic values, Rice said. "We cannot fall into that trap," she said.

....

She said she hoped the coup experience would lead Chavez "to recognize the importance of democratic values for real -- not just claiming that, because you're elected, you are exercising democratic values."

JUST BECAUSE W WAS ELECTED DOESN'T MEAN HE EXHIBITED DEMOCRATIC VALUES...WE CANNOT FALL INTO THAT TRAP

4. According to CBC and CTV (Canada) journalists who were at the
Argentina get together, the whole dynamic of the demonstrations has changed from what it was before....The reporters I listened to on both these networks said, the protestors used to be against globalisation and that's what their signs mostly portrayed, but now it has become almost completely anti Bush in nature....Although CNN, as far as I have seen is still saying the protestors are "anti-American."....Could this be a way of keeping the American public from realizing their president is alienating them from the rest of the world?....

The Project for the New American Century intends, through issue briefs, research papers, advocacy journalism, conferences, and seminars, to explain what American world leadership entails. It will also strive to rally support for a vigorous and principled policy of American international involvement and to stimulate useful public debate on foreign and defense policy and America's role in the world.
