This Week: Stephanopoulos

From Pre$$titutes:

"The 'balanced' panel consisted of Newt Gingrich, George Will, Linda Douglass, and Fareed Zakaria, with Stephanopoulos playing the role of Bush apologist.

The panel engaged in an Alito inevitability-fest, and then moved on to bash Democrats over Iraq under the guise of discussing the Plame case and the war. Zakaria accused John Kerry of making all his Iraq decisions based on polls, and Gingrich followed by calling Kerry 'sick.'"

I was watching a bit of this, and it was truly amazing -- who thinks this is a balanced panel??????????

2. Who should have balanced Newt Gingrich?
I'm writing a blog entry, and I have
"The opposite of a conservative columnist like George Will is a liberal columnist, such as Bob Herbert. It's not Linda Douglass, whose job is to be a neutral reporter.

The opposite of a Republican former Speaker of the House like Newt Gingrich is __________."

6. Since "Newt" isn't in government anymore.....
why not James Carville? That would be as diametrically opposed ideology wise as you could possible get.

11. I bet Carville won't have anything to do with George Steph.
Or are they still buddies?

Besides, I think Carville and Matalin are tied to CNN and NBC/MSNBC, right?

3. Snuffleopagus........
was so scared by Repiglickens before he took on the duties of host that he's bent over backward to appease the. They made a big stink about whether he could be "impartial". Sounds just like the myth of the "liberal media" to me. Accuse the media of being way too "liberal" then they overcompensate to appear "fair". :eyes:

I never watch any of the Sunday morning bush suck-fests, they turn my stomach.

4. What was it that Carville said about lil Georgie S?
Ralph Reed thinks it's a balanced panel. :)

Stephanopoulos is a presstitute, he gets his opinion handed to him by writers.

5. I turned it off ..
The moment I saw Gingrich ... HOW could you have a "balanced panel" with him without having a heavyweight D in it ???

The worst was, I had flipped over from meet the press ... Russert totally backdoored Ted Kennedy ... He dug up quotes from, no lie, in the freakin 60s, as well the the 80s to challenge him on the SC issue, then put a quote up about the runnup that read like a R, started into a conversation with Kennedy that led him to challenge the runnup, then went back and said, "oh, by the way, the quote was from John Kerry ..."

That was just BS, and he hammered Kennedy left and right ... He was tough on Davis, cause Davis gave him A LOT more to work with ... But, it wasn't the same ... That "liberal press" think in reverse ...

Anyway, I expected better from Stephanopplis (sp), but again, the moment I saw Gingrich, knowing the other panel people including Will, I just turned it off ...

7. I thought Fareed did a good job today.
I can't think of any other reason that the Dems say and do the things they do except that they follow the polls.

Isn't that one of the reasons we all like Hackett and Dean? They always say what they believe, even when it sometimes gets them into political trouble?

13. Let's say Fareed Zakaria was a good guest. (I didn't see it.)
Shouldn't he still be balanced with another centrist journalist, instead of with Newt Gingrich?

15. Fareed was excellent.
Not only did I like what he said, but I also liked the look of disgust on his face while he listened to Newt. His look was "Are you kidding me??!!! You must be nuts!!!

Dean, Hackett, and Clark are in the same mold. They don't put their finger to the wind to find out what is popular; they are REAL leaders and truth-tellers.

10. That's because there is no difference between the GOP and DLC
George S. is pure DLC. Why should he say anything negative about economic policies that he finds to his liking?

14. This is what you get for watching propaganda
These whores are shamelss, and they'll never stop insulting honest people's intelligence.

Best to simply turn them off and not let them run up your blood pressure. They're losing whatever credibility they have left- and making an excellent case for the re-regulation of the media if the Dems ever grow a spine and find their way back into power.

18. Out our of Newts Handbook
As you know, one of the key points in the Gopac is that "language matters." As we mail tapes to candidates, and use them in training sessions across the country, we hear a plaintive plea: "I wish I could speak like Newt."

Optimistic Positive Governing Words
Use the list below to help define your campaign and your vision of public service. These words can help give extra power to your message.

common sense freedom peace reform
courage hard work pioneer rights
crusade help precious strength
dream liberty pride truth
duty light principle(d) vision
empower(ment) moral pristine workfare
fair movement pro-environment
family passionate prosperity

Contrasting Words

Often we search hard for words to define our opponents. Sometimes we are hesitant to use contrast. These are powerful words that can create a clear and easily understood contrast. Apply these to the opponent, his record, proposals and party.
anti-child deeper liberal shallow
anti-flag disgrace lie shame
betray devour machine sick
bizarre destroy obsolete status quo
cheat excuses pathetic steal
collapse failure radical taxes
corruption greed red tape they/them
crisis hypocrisy self-serving traitors
decay incompetent sensationalists welfare
