He articulated a Catholic's pro-choice and anti-death penalty views better than any politician I've ever heard just now.

Once he becomes Governor he will be a force nationally.

2. I'll try to find a transcript, but paraphrasing:

He said due to his beliefs he does not believe in Cap Punishment, but that his Church knows his "fingers aren't crossed" when he takes an oath of office.

The Church understands that as Governor he must uphold the law.

On abortion pretty much the same thing. Regardless of his personal views on life it's a matter of upholding the law.


I don't do his words justice, but he was more convincing than Kerry was I think.

I was raised Catholic..thus the interest...and while it has been a long time since i was a practicing catholic, i do recall there being a strong belief in my church and cataclism classes...in the rendering to ceasar what is ceasars....or going by the laws of your community.

I haven't watched cnn since Nov 6, 2002, but I remember liking Harris.

... and he and I exchanged e-mails -- he takes his audience that seriously.
