If all 4 lose, Schwarzenegger loses all clout and is consigned to the dustbin of political trivia history, and is forced to going back to making insipid action movies to support his ego and cigar habit. Imagine this state being chopped up by three judges all of whom were appointed to the judiciary by partisan politicians. A disaster, that is what it will be.

Prop. 77 is not OK. If our state is to be chopped up by judges, let's make sure there are more than three. Three judges could too easily be corrupted, and what if one does not participate. Judges are appointed by the governor or elected through a political process. They tend to be partisan. Just because they are judges does not mean they are neutral politically.

Also, under this proposition, Schwarzenegger decides the rules the judges are to follow in chopping up the state. Besides, why should we re-gerrymander our state now halfway between censuses when we have an orderly procedure for doing it every ten years and just did it after the 2000 census? Vote NO on Propositions 73-78 including Proposition 77.

14. I'm in Orange County and I got polled tonight

I got one of those 45 second voice recognition polls from the right-wing tonight. They are apparently polling their base (I live in the OC), but they got more than they bargained for with my answers. Very weird poll--only questions about 2 of the initiatives--the abortion notification and the one about preventing unions from using union dues for political purposes. They asked me did I like Arnold? No. Did I like McClintock (Lt Gov for 2006) No. Was I a Republican? No. Was I a man? No. Was I younger than 50? No. Just no, no, no, on every question except one. Was I pro-life or pro-choice? PRO-CHOICE.

I get these polls all the time because I live in the hotbed of Fundie madness. I just love to skew (or maybe screw) their numbers. Anybody else get a call?
