TRENTON, Nov. 3 - With just five days left in New Jersey governor's race, the Republican nominee, Douglas R. Forrester, has released a campaign commercial featuring a quotation from the ex-wife of his Democratic opponent, Senator Jon S. Corzine.

The 15-second commercial, entitled "Quote," has no spoken words, just a black screen that scrolls through a quotation attributed to Joanne Corzine. The quote, which appeared in an article in The New York Times on Wednesday, says Mr. Corzine "let his family down, and he'd probably let New Jersey down, too."

When the article first appeared, Mr. Forrester declined to discuss the matter, describing it as "a private matter." But by this morning, the commercial was scheduled to run on television stations in New York and Philadelphia, and Mr. Forrester's campaign aides said they believed that Ms. Corzine's comments were relevant because they offered voters new insight into Mr. Corzine's character.

4. That's really below the belt.
It will be seen for what it is: a disgruntled, bitter ex-spouse being used by a political opponent. What a turd.

5. This has been a very ugly campeign and frankly I'm sick of it.
Corzine and Forrester have been throwing mud at each other all along but this is a new low.

I hope that my fellow New Jerseyans will reject this sort of campeigning.

8. Forrester is a bitter, twisted liar
His true character is coming out. This is exactly why Forrester has no chance of winning.

9. As I understand it, Forrester is losing more numbers on that than Corzine.

10. It didn't help having the Big Dog in New Jersey campaigning for Corzine

This is a winning combination

Think we can get Bush to come to New Jersey and stump for Forrester?

11. I read that in the Star Ledger yesterday. It made me sick. This morning
when I turned the TV on, a reporter had a mike in Forrester's face about the ad. He asked Rug if he had ever cheated on his wife. Rug fell silent, then, "Humina.. humina..I've always been proud of my family." Sweeet!
