4. Surely you've heard this phrase used in the news?
It's the bipartisan group of Senators that agreed to reduce the possibility of a filibuster over Judicial nominations.

7. I'd Not Heard It & My Senator
is one of them. I wrote an e-mail yesterday asking about his membership into this "gang". I also called the local office and sure as shit, the lady on the phone said proudly "yes he is", when I inquired about his membership into "the gang".

I'm disgusted and embarrassed that my grown man senator feels the need to be in a gang.

9. No, I don't have cable and don't watch network news.
And my internet meanderings have been straying away from things political toward things Spiritual, lately.

10. The conventional wisdom is that if Alito can win most of the 14 over
he'll get confirmed. I think he is focusing most of his office visits on these Senators in addition to the Judicial Committee members.
