Which East-European countries have former Soviet military bases,

Which East-European countries have former Soviet military bases,
suitable for detainees, support the war on Iraq and are members of NATO or want to be? Poland, Slovakia, Ukraine. Those are the hottest candidates for the gulags, IMO.

1. look first at the euphemistically named "coalition of the willing"
all of eastern europe, poland, e. germany (gdr), estonia, lithuania, latvia, czechoslovakia, hungary, bulgaria and romania . . . . not the former yugoslavia.

3. My guess is that the European countries in this embroglio are ........
Romania and Bulgaria.

I have no basis for saying that. Just a gut feeling.

8. True, but,
we have troops there. Poland has been expecting the US to pay rent on its old Soviet bases. The US was expecting to get them for free. I don't know what the final decision on that country's base proposal has been yet.
