Now the Teaser WASHINGTON - A centrist Democratic senator complimented Supreme Court nominee Samuel Alito Wednesday as a moderate jurist who won't "hammer away and chisel away" existing law.

Now the Opinion. I mentioned the Nelsons as part of a group of Democratic Senators who will vote with the Repugniks and put this Fascist on the bench.

Are any of us surprised? After Harry Reid and the Democratic Senators showed such backbone yesterday, now it's back to business as usual, and the Repugnik Lites are coming out of the woodwork again.

I don't know how Harry managed to get them to :hide: hide yesterday, but I bet they were voting with the Repugniks to go back on the record and end the closed session.

While I hope Alito does not get confirmed you fail to understand that Nelson is playing to his constituency. He must do this in order to maintain any support in his state. So if you want a Republican to take his seat by all means have him oppose the Judge. Its politics. I don't know about you but I want to retake the Senate next year. We can do a hell of a lot more good when we are in charge of committee's and the senate calender.
