If Bush** had any dignity, he'd resign now and spare the nation the shame.
This isn’t about whether or not Bush** has dignity. He doesn’t. And it’s not about whether or not Bush** will resign. He won’t. This is ALL about exposing him for the fraud that he is. As bleever recently said, this is about linking the words “dignity” and “resign” in the minds of the American people. This is about strategic framing.

All the national embarrassment that is sure to ensue in the weeks and months ahead is the fault Bush** and his cronies, and no one else. Therefore we need to start now to lay the blame squarely where it belongs. Remember, the left doesn’t have a national “meme machine.” We ARE the left’s “meme machine.”

That’s why I’m asking you today to join me in saying loudly and often, to anyone within earshot:

If Bush** has any dignity at all, he'll resign now and spare the nation the shame.

NGU.

THE SHAME, or IF HE WAS CONCERNED ABOUT THE gop HE WOULD RESIGN AND NOT FORCE THEM OUT OF POWER,

My father used to say that every now and then. He'd chuckle as he said it.

You are so right, the phrase needs to be repeated and it is extremely appropriate.

Hey Bush, show some class you dog! Take a hike

5. No.. its much bigger than "dignity"... its about abuse of power.
Edited on Wed Nov-02-05 01:23 AM by MazeRat7
The dems are trying to show that the executive branch tried to influence the legislative branch. If shown to be true.. this is way worse than watergate or, as you put it, dignity.

No, this is about violation of the US constitution. That is the unspoken charge. More than likely this point will be lost on most, but the fact remains that the executive branch has exercised influence over the legislative branch that is above and beyond their authorized domain of control.

6. No argument here - but that's going to go over many people's heads.
You even said it yourself: "More then likely this point will be lost on most." That's why we need to get out talking point that erode people's confidence in "Dear Leader**."

So say it with me, Rat? If Bush** had any dignity at all, he'd resign now and spare the nation the shame.

13. Presidents should resign when they have become politically ineffective
What's the point of just hanging around there until their term expires? In parliamentary systems, the prime minister resigns all the time when they have a political crisis.

24. It would be dignified if Bush resigned and spared the honor of the country
I'm trying to go along here, but I want him impeached. He and all the people who suddenly want to spend more time with their families should not be allowed to slink off and let this fester til the next time. Iran-contra should have taught us that if you let them, they'll come back. And Newtie and Delay still operate from the shadows. If Rove resigns it'll be the same. He'll still call in the plays. It'd be harder from jail.

Okiedokie - I got that out! I'll be good! Dignity and resignation. Got it.

25. Look at it this way. If we can convince the public that the only...
...dignified response is resignation, and he doesn't resign, what's the next logical step? Impeachment, of course.
