Do we have any friends in the media?
I continue to believe the media is our biggest problem. (One of our media friends) John Stewart was absolutely correct when, on CNN's thankfully dead 'Crossfire' that the media is actually harming our country.

When I pose the question as 'do we have any media friends' what I mean is honest media types. Not left-leaning. Not clearly partisan, but just plain honest.

You know .... like Walter Cronkite.

Who do you think are our media friends?

9. I do agree
I don't think Jack is a good enough actor to fake the outrage he expressed today. He and Keith Olbermann have my utmost respect.

14. I agree. Particularly post Katrina.
Olbermann has been telling the truth, at least since I started watching him right after the election.

It's funny how anyone who will report the truth, and actually ask follow-up questions seems to be on "our side".

I would hate to be a freeper, and have to look for someone that lies, hides the truth, or lets the administration's lies go unchallenged. However, they do have the distinct advantage of being able to find reporters on "their side" with very little problem.

11. She wasn't a friend to Democrats on election day 2000.
She was a friend to Ralph Nader when she interviewed Clinton on election morning.

Honestly, it doesn't bother me that much. But for the people who blame Nader for Gore losing, I don't know how they could also say Goodman is their friend.

12. Amy Goodman is not a partisan

Honest journalism will carry an intelligent critique of Democrats as well as Republicans. The problem with the critique of the Clinton Administration by the MSM was that it almost never had anything to do with an intelligent critique of policy. I would be have no problems with the sort of journalism that credibly and intelligently criticizes actual policy and actions of any party. That's what they are supposed to do; at least in theory.

13. Which leaves us with the fact that the Democrats have no friends in the
media, which was what the OP wanted to know.
