In the words of a very wise man I frequently listen to,

"It's about what's right and what's wrong.

There's a perception in this country that we were lied to about the run up to the war in Iraq. Maybe we were, maybe we weren't. But there are a lot of people who think we were.

And a half a trillion dollars and 2000 of our kids later, we're still there. We're mired in a thing that has no visible end.

If it was necessary and if the threats were real. Fine and dandy.

But if they lied to us. If there was some kind of intent to deceive. Then they ought to find out who did it and tear their fingernails out -- then get rid of them.

And it's not about being on one side of the poltical spectrum or the other.

It's about what's right and what's wrong. And about what people who are entrusted to govern this country do with the power we give them.

If it's being abused, we damn well have a right to know.

No it was not wrong. The republicans have been stonewalling on the investigation of pre-war intelligence because they know that as set forth in the Downing Street Memo, the facts and the intelligence was fixed to justify the war. It has become clear from the Plame investigation that the reasons for the war in Iraq was cooked by the White House Iraq Group and the Bush administration has lied to the American public.

Senator Reid and the Democrats did what they needed to do to bring this fact to light.

Given that Bill Frist is planning on using the “nuclear option” to kill a potential filibuster of the Alito nomination, the Senate got a look at what the Senate will look like following an illegal changing of the Senate rules.
