15. Either That, Or They've Got an Offer That Can't Be Refused.
With Scooter shooting for an innocent plea, there's some major potential embarrassment for the White House, once witnesses start getting called.

If and when the evidence of intelligence cookery comes to light, many Dems are going to look just as bad as the Republicans. For strictly political purposes (makes me ill just thinking it), the Dems have a wonderful card to play, but they can get more mileage from it (ie, blackmail) if it doesn't come out to the public, is my guess.

5. It means they are going to get NASTY on the floor of the Senate.
And a bigass fight is about to ensue where Sen. Pat Roberts is going to be chopped into mincemeat for using the Senate Report to cover up for the WH and its lies against Joe Wilson.

For the first time in 25 years, the doors have been locked in the senate chamber. Only the 100 senators are allowed. They are going to discuss intelligence.

Ed Henry reports this is a maneuver by Harry Reid.

More to come...

pre-Iraq war intel..phase 2 of the report, want some answers about what Cheney knew, want oversight. They're hot under the collar and will call a closed session every day until they get answers.

For the first time in 25 years, the doors have been locked in the senate chamber. Only the 100 senators are allowed. They are going to discuss intelligence.

Ed Henry reports this is a maneuver by Harry Reid.

Henry reports the Democrats will do this EVERY DAY until Senate Republicans agree to a hearing about whether intelligence was manipulated before the war.

51. Finally some balls. A prayer for the governed
My God...
I can't believe that finally the Dem's with "no plan of their own" are finally doing something to force the truth to the front of the line.

This is how I feel about Bush's government:

PRAYER FOR THE GOVERNED

I shall wrap myself in the flag of my country and hold a Bible high in my hand. My songs of privatization, reverence and traditional values will be heard throughout the land.
I will align myself with those of power and wealth, forsaking the downtrodden and unfortunate and proclaim my actions to be in the best interest of all. I will divert funding from education of our youth, saying to critics that no child will be left behind. I will repeal legislation that protects the citizenry from environmental pollution and deny them redress through the judicial process.
I will call it necessary.
I will invade foreign powers, categorizing them as evil, and imprison and torture their people. And this, I will say, is justified in that we bring hope, freedom and democracy to the conquered. I will take from the impoverished, the elderly and the infirm and they will believe that this is right and good. For it is by their faith, rather than their understanding, that I have been entrusted with the power to lead them. And they will not readily admit the fallibility of their beliefs. Let us pray.

Pray the Democrats are successful!

57. Libby springboard -or- Alito warning.

Reid is either using the Libby indictment as a springboard for an honest and open discussion on intelligence issues which must take place behind closed doors for national security reasons, or...

Reid is using this as an excuse to force a closed door meeting of the Senate to demonstrate that Democrats can AND WILL cause chaos should the Republics follow through on their "nuclear" option vis-a-vis Alito's nomination to the Supreme Court.

Even if it is for the first reason, the second point is being made as well.
