New Dem message: "This is a failed Presidency"
Everything fits under that message. Poll show that the public already believes it.

Bush nominates a far right wing judge, he is playing to the base to resurect a failed presidency.

Avian flu plan, too little too late, just trying to change the subject now and resurrect a failed presidency.

We need to say it all the time so that it soaks into the public consciousness in a way that can not be dislodged.

5. Exactly, why has it failed? Culture of corruption and incompetence.
Keep it simple and consistent.

3. I'm in total agreement.
Simple. To the point. Even "morans" can grasp it.

6. This is the statistic I love:
55% believe the Bush Presidency is a FAILURE.

71% believed the Clinton Presidency was a SUCCESS one month AFTER Impeachment.

7. Right idea, but the message can't lower expectations it must raise them
Because Bush is flat out of political capital, unless we let him pass go and collect 200 dollars.

8. It's kind of sad that this is the "NEW" Dem message, isn't it?
Shouldn't it have consistently been the Dem message for...oh, say...THE LAST THREE OR FOUR YEARS???????!!!!

It's just as true now as it was then. Only more so.

11. Somebody on Meet the Press said Sunday
that Bush needs to do two things to salvage himself politically:

One, get in front of a camera and apologize for the mistakes and crimes inside the WH up until now.

Two, start going to the center and nominate a moderate judge and working with both sides of the aisle. Because that's where the majority is in this country.

Doesn't look like he intends to do either, despite having Reagan (who did apologize for Iran-contra) as one of his heros. Bye-bye to Chimp and all of his plans.

12. And our Democratic leaders bought the same load of Bullshit..
that the Bush** fed us about justifying the war!!

I wish Kerry had taken that angle in '04

"Yes..I voted for the war. But I realized too late that I was being manipulated and lied to by the Bush** administration"

GOD!! I wish Kerry would have said something along those lines...

13. I was sick at my stomach watching the Democratic convention
with all the emphasis on Kerry's militray service. The anti-war movement got pushed to the back of the room in 2004, even after it was obvious that we were the only ones with a clue on Iraq.
