I'm not sure, but I think I did a Google or something while I was looking for something and ended up on Hate Mailbag as a result.

Except for the most marginal freeper types, a lot of the "conservatives" I know have been strangely quiet for the last several months. I think originally it was shame, but now it seems to be turning into anger. I just hope their anger is directed at the corrupt administration that deceived them, not the folks who pointed out that they were being played for suckers.

I do not recall exactly how I cam across this (I'm going 'Libby' on this one...), but browsing around on the web back around May '04, I came across a reference of 'things to do at Wal-Mart while you wait' and the link led here;

That was one of the things that really sparked my interest in DU - if illiterate, knuckle-dragging Republicans loath this place so much, it just had to be good!!!! :P

But, I also agree with the the above post, it's insight into the thought processes of our most radical enemies, that we can use against them.

23. Something to tide you over-listen to the first 10 minutes of Al Franken's

show every day. He reads 1 letter a day and they are usually hiliarious enough, but his reactions and comments make them seem even more absurd!

I'm always disturbed by the hate mail, his and DUs, on some level - it's always vicious and often homophobic, misogynistic, racist and anti-semitic.

I actually gagged at one point, and near the end my mother (who was in the car with me) turned the radio off, and kept it off for the next ten minutes.
