1. Are they trying to help Arnold's questionably democratic ballot proposal?
I hear that Judge Wopner is doing a commercial in CA: "I'm a retired judge. I should not have the power to redraw political boundaries in a backroom outside the site the of the public. That is too much power for three retired judges to have."

2. npr is disappointing
listened to the Diane Rhems(?) show yesterday where they talked about how much support Bush has and one guy threw out the tired old talking point "The democrats don't have a plan, all they do is critisize".

How could a radio station who prides itself on being the intellectual station let this go?

Lets see Republican plan for Iraq "We don't know when we'll leave, but we've got to get the job done first" Yea, If I hired a painter for my house that said that, he'd be fired, Even if I didn't have a backup.

Ah the budget. Republican plan "Oh I can't seem to stop spending". My spouse tells me that and it is cut up cards and couples therapy.

Oh yea, LYING and Cheating! Republican plan "Well it isn't really a lie--not like that whopper Clinton told about his whopper." So the republican plan is to claim moral ground while being immoral within the government.

I am so sick and tired of repulicans using that bullshit of "Dems have no plan so I'll stick with republicans".

If someone has no plan to finish their job, spends all your money, and lies to you--don't you think "well I don't have a new spouse lined up but this one is CRAZY! I'm outta this relationship".

My 2 cents.

3. Dems have lots of plans!
Every Dem out there has a plan in place for if they get the ball.

It's been a "keep away" game up til now and none of this is the Dems fault.
Now they change the rules to "hot potato" and fling the issue at us and tell us time's up.

What a stupid meme it is because the GOP "plan" is what got us where we are today. Better we turn to thoughtful, truthful discourse instead of "plans" and agendas.

Everytime I hear this lately I want to scream!
I even see this spun-up in The Nation and here at DU. They even have us repeating it!
I don't understand it either?
