From DailyKos (Re: Chris Matthews on Alito)
http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2005/10/31/224929/21

This OFFICIALLY PUTS CHRIS MATTHEWS in the SAME LEAGUE as Rush, Hannity, and the Rest of the Right Wing Propaganda Machine.

This should stand as SOLID EVIDENCE that Chris Matthews is the Enemy of the Democrats and the progressive movement as well as the USA!

3. Matthews does what Matthews needs to do to keep his large
salary from MSNBC. And what he needs to do is shill for the Corporate War Machine. He is pathetic. After being identified as the reporter that Libby complained about, and that Russert tattled on, he needs to prove to "the powers that be" his worth.

5. I read the Red State stuff, and I thought uh oh, Tweety is lying.
Here is my post on it. I link to Hunter's diatribe at Kos as well. This just burned me up.

6. I found this on the Kosblog..
Hardball With Chris Matthews
400 North Capitol Street, NW, Suite 850, Washington, DC 20001

Tel: (202) 783-2615
Fax: (202) 737-4985
Fax: (202) 737-4986

And this..

Advertisers (4.00 / 2)

"Might be worth it to obtain Hardball's advertiser list, and inform them that half the country is NOT HAPPY with host Chris Matthews slandering Democrats, in the legal sense."

"As I listened to Matthew's rendition of the memo's content, I could tell that either something was missing or it was a set up. Nice job tracing down the facts."

"Tweety's been as nervous... (4.00 / 4)

... as a cat shitting on a concrete sidewalk."

"He's been scratching and fretting, trying to cover up the fact that he's had a bowel movement of truth last week over Traitorgate. He went back and forth all week, going out on the limb with Shuster and Gregory, then getting reeled back into the Kool-Aid Klubhouse by Mrs. Greenspan."

"Now that Libby's been indicted, and Rove seems safe for the moment, Tweety's scuttling back into craven Flying Monkeyhood. He's got some powerful ass-kissing to do to get back in Sauron's good graces, and leading the Charge of the Lie Brigade for Alito seems to be his chosen method."

"How's that for mixed metaphors?"

9. Chris Matthews, Russert, and all of MSM
are responsible for not providing accurate information before the election. BOTH elections.
The summer of 2000, reports and debates on the internet about the scrubbing of Bushes driving record (DUI), his military status (AWOL), his frisky younger days (Cocaine use), his failed businesses (SEC shut down investigation for insider trading) and his brother Neils' responsibility and conviction in the Savings and Loan rip off in Denver. Not One journalist still occupying our airwaves took these stories seriously. Not one.
When Bush and Cheney stood before (high paying, like minded) crowds and stated that they would restore honor and dignity to the office, NO ONE stood up and questioned them about their involvement in Big Oil, Big Business. No One.
And 2004 was even worse. The questions about 911 where never asked. The questions that probe the core ethics of this group were never asked.
Hardball, MTP, The Situation Room, all of the political programs that we hang onto everyday waiting for a breathe of fresh air, a truth, are product placement advertisements only.
Our press has been controlled by brand manager Rove, placing the ultimate brand;BushCo. With the ultimate 24 hour shopping network award going to Fox News.
I believe when we need to stop pinning our hopes to the current crop of commercial actors.
When BushCo. apologizes to the country for consumer fraud, so should the 'press'.
