Dean Shakes Up Reeling Campaign After Losses

BURLINGTON, Vt. (Reuters) - Democratic presidential hopeful Howard Dean, struggling to get his White House bid back on track after crushing losses in Iowa and New Hampshire, shook up his campaign on Wednesday in preparation for "a long, long war of attrition." snip

"I think you're going to see a leaner and meaner organization," he told reporters. "It's not going to be a front-runner's campaign. It's going to be a long, long war of attrition.' snip

Dean said he planned to compete in all of Tuesday's seven contests. But he had shifted resources to New Hampshire, spending $1.5 million on advertising in the final week.

While the campaign was "not broke," Dean acknowledged he would have to be careful about money and "husband resources" for the 20 states that have contests in the next five weeks.

1. Wow, that's a nice chunk of change.
I think the campaign is starting to focus more on states where Dean will be most competitive. This is good. Reorganization can be a good thing.

2. If you were getting 15% commission off of every dollar spent on ads...
Then you would want to spend as much as possible...even if it was more than you actually needed...
