9. yes, it's hysterical....most young dean-supporters don't even get it...
Edited on Wed Jan-28-04 10:53 PM by amen1234

which points to the real fundamental problems in Dean's approach....

despite high chances going into each State...once the young people get after it...voters flee...

14. sure does, Kerry's campaign follows Federal laws, and will not
Edited on Wed Jan-28-04 11:00 PM by amen1234

allow minors to solicite votes, and campaigners avoid speaking to minors while soliciting support....

that's the Federal Campaign laws....you can't use minors for any part of your campaign...and I give lots of credit to Kerry for not having children do the work of adults....

11. Doonesbury died a slow death years ago.
Playing on already old cliches just doesn't cut it.

13. Doonesbury is still at its peak... I just bought a bunch
of old volumes, from the Reagan and Poppy Bush years... They are so universal and contemporary... Scary...

17. It was great back then.
But every comic strip that sticks around this long gets old. And it has grown old. There's a reason Calvin & Hobbes ended. There's a reason Bloom Country ended. The creators knew that the quality would suffer at some point.

Doonesbury has long passed that point.

15. Trudeau is a boyhood friend of Dean's.
He has a load of Dean comic strips, and they're very funny.

18. You have an interesting logical disconnect
On the one hand, you want Dean supporters to come flocking to your candidate, Kerry.

Then you turn around and insult them.

Hmmmmmmm

19. How does that suggest why Dean won't win any states?
If anything it tells us something about who Dean is being backed by. The very people who are going to be affected by the policies of the next president; the youth.

It's good, yes, but it doesn't say anything bad about Dean.
