Clark Supporters, I've got something to say
This media bias issue.

Does it exist? Yes. Is it fair? No. Will focusing on this and getting upset about it change anything?

NO.

All it will do is make you depressed, paranoid, and completely useless to the campaign. Writing angry letters to CNN may make you feel better, but I have never found this makes any difference. It is up to Clark and his campaign staff to deal with this directly, as much as they can. He has a professional staff that are far more capable of handling this than we are.

Nobody said this was going to be an easy ride. I know none of us expected the undeclared war on Clark by the media. But there it is. It is a reality we have to deal with. We either deal, or whine and complain, or just give up.

I prefer to deal with it by working hard for Clark and doing all I can to get him elected. I take it as a challenge and as proof that the man is the real deal, or they wouldn't be so afraid of him.

I know Clark isn't giving in to self-pity and despair. This is a man who is relentlessly positive and focused. He is not going to let the media whores stop him. And he is depending on us to help him win this fight and take back the White House.

What are you going to do?

2. Just keep on keepin' on....
It pisses me off but no more than that really. I think the important thing is to keep the positive message out there. He's good and he's viable regardless of what the media says.

42. Yep. Just hope and trust our guy to get even tougher and even more savvy.
And control the discourse instead of being on the defensive.

All we can do is our part: campaigning, volunteering, donating,
raising money, talking him up.

Above all, keep sending him money. In competing w Kerry he's
competing w the deep pocket establishment.

The media was disgusting, yet we persevered and pulled it out. Clark can, too.

But, boy, you can always come here and bitch about the media to get it off your chest.

We'll hear ya.

16. I'll do 2 things: fight media bias AND write/call voters
I will not allow it to get me down but I won't ignore it either. At least a letter to the editor a day - and hundreds to voters - a good ratio, I'd think.

As for Clark I will vote for him next Tuesday. If I had a job I would send money. I believe he can be the best president.

21. We should be sending e-mails berating the media.
Next media whore who unfairly attacks Clark let's go get 'em...

Let's start by going after Peter Jennings for his Michael Moore/Bush-awol question in the debate:

I've already sent him one e-mail - it's about time for another....

If you really want to send a letter? Write it by hand. They will read it and take it seriously. They don't take emails that they are swamped with seriously, I truly believe they flush 'em.

Go Wes!

I agree with everything you said. I've decided I won't dwell on it, though it does make me nuts when he's so blatantly ignored. (The attacks I expect, but being 'disappeared,' well now THAT sucks.)

That said, I decided to talk to more neighbors, co-workers, friends, family...and hopefully I can garner some more support for Clark in my little corner of the world. By doing that, at least I'll feel semi-useful.

39. I dunno, but it cracked me up.
Someone posted it here and said a teenager made it. The url says it's from bartcop. Same with the elephant foot cartoon earlier in this thread.

I saw Clark talking to voters on CSPAN on Sunday. A lady from bartcop handed him a bartcop.com button and asked to take his picture holding it. He declined because he said he didn't know anything about it. (That's a principled and cautious man!) But it sounds like he has more than a few supporters over there.
