A Modest Proposal

This could solve ALL our 'problems' on DU. Instead of separate forums based on the subject matter, let's advocate the separation of forums based on advocacy!!

Instead of an "Israeli/Palestinian" Forum, let's have separate forums - one for those posts supporting Israeli actions and goals, and another for those posts advocating Palestinian actions and goals!!

Instead of a "Gun Rights/Gun Control" Forum, let's have separate forums - one for those posts supporting the "Right To Bear Arms" and another for those posts supporting increased regulation of guns and gun ownership!

Instead of a "GD: CIA Leak Case" Forum, let's have separate forums - one for those posts that regard the progress in exposing White House corruption to be substantive and heartening and another forum for those posts that regard it as "too little and too late"!!


Good heavens! Why didn't we think of this before? After all, aren't all of our problems on DU stemming from conflicting viewpoints? Different opinions? Of course they are!!!

Let's have separate but equal forums so advocates of one perspective don't have to deal with the advocates of the opposite perspective!!!

Wow! This is an idea whose time has come! (And passed.)

Apartheid! Segregation!! Limit "discussion" to agreements only!!!
