29 October - Another great day in Republican Party History
On this date in 1929, the stock market crashed. The republicans and their robber baron supporters savaged our economy while the guy in the white house fiddled. Sound familiar?

2. Good call, bro.
And that collapse came after a decade of economic and business policies that are similar to those we see under Bush. In the 1920s, there were major segments of the economy that were doing poorly, but all the Harding-Coolidge administrations carried about was the primary business markets. Those did fine, fueled by the ability to buy on margin and bid up stocks.

The distance between the haves-a-lot and the haves-not and haves-little in this country has grown drastically the past 4 years under Bush. His policies are crushing the little guys and gals. But he doesn't hear it or see it, and if he did, he wouldn't care.
