CEO salaries jumped 30 percent in 2004
Typical top dog's compensation package came in at $5.74 million

The median increase was more than nine times last year’s 3.3 percent rise in U.S. consumer prices, and double the 15 percent increase a year earlier. The average increase was 91 percent, a number distorted by the 27 CEOs whose compensation swelled more than 1,000 percent.

8. great website. thanks. my repub sis works for Home Depot,
She would have to work 1681 years...minus the 12 she already has put in. CEO made 42,000,000 last year. He could rebuild a part of New Orleans all by himself. Hey, that's why he needs that tax cut!

12. OMG I just remembered that in 2004 Home Depot so seriously
cut back my sister's and her husband's work hours: like by 10 hours a week for two months, even after 10 yrs of service to them...that she and her husband were forced to use all of their sick leave and vacation pay just to pay the monthly bills....logical, since they cut like 25% of their hours out....supposedly because Home Depot was in a 'tight spot'....I guess it is tight when the CEO makes $336 A MINUTE!!!!

13. Your republican sister really needs to look at this web site..
If she is a really good republican, I'm sure she'll have excuses for why the CEO deserves this kind of money... Still she needs to be aware!

14. FReepers should see this site. Something has got to get them
pissed off at some point. bushco doesn't know or even care about 'how hard it is for them to put food on their families" and this damn well proves it. These CEOs' salaries are obscene and this OUTRAGEOUS!

10. And of course, the numbers came in BELOW ESTIMATES
Don't forget that--instead of being obscenely rich, the CEOs will have to settle for being disgustingly rich.
