Check Out This Ras Poll! The Pro-War Movement Is DEAD!!!
It's done, put a fork in it. America has awaken... Praise God.

Survey of 1,000 Adults

Which is more important, getting American troops home as son as possible or making sure that Iraq becomes a peaceful nation enjoying freedom and democracy?
Troops Home 53%
Peaceful, Free Iraq 38%

If the United States withdraws all of its troops from Iraq, will that make things better or worse in Iraq?
Better 22%
Worse 54%
No Impact 14%

1. The only way Iraq will become a democracy is for US troops to leave
False choice.

2. perhaps, but that second poll is disturbing
They still can't get it through they're thick heads that our presence there is causing friction, not removing it. :eyes:

4. No, it's realistic.
All hell WILL break loose when we leave. There are MANY competing interests in Iraq. But we HAVE to leave or they'll die by dozens day in and day out for years. This way, maybe it will be bad in the short term, but they have a better chance of restoring order sooner. For the survivors.

5. The chaos in Iraq is a small price to pay...
for control of the huge oil reserves in that country. It means hundreds of billions of dollars in profit to the Bush family and their supporters in the oil industry.

So who cares if 2000 familes lose their loved ones? It has always been the job of the lower classes to secure wealth for the ruling elite.

And that's the truth.

7. I think all hell will break loose whenever we leave
whether tomorrow, next week, or next year. The US occupation as it currently stands cannot produce a stable democracy, because the Iraqis don't trust us enough to carry on anything associated with the US or the occupation.

Perhaps the UN can do a better job holding things together, but more likely, the post occupation chaos will produce the government and society that Iraq wants to have, as opposed to the artificial structure currently in place. That said, wouldn't it be better to leave as soon as possible?

3. At last people seem to be waking up
Took their sweet time about it, but I think it's better than the old stats indeed.

I don't quite understand that second one. Still, when the public turns on B***, we're moving forward.

6. Despite the way this bullshit poll was even framed
Do you want the troops home or a peaceful free Iraq?

Hey assholes troops staying DOES NOT = Free Iraq

That's the same bullshit line of questioning akin to "Did you vote with the presidents or with the terrorists?"
