The actions of George W. Bush constitute a violation of the oath of office and require his immediate impeachment and removal. I refer specifically to the deliberate deception regarding WMD's and the lies that led us into war. Other actions - or inactions - also rise to the level of an impeachable offense. And while gross incompetence in itself may not be grounds for removal from office, the intentional neglect of New Orleans and surrounding areas does.
If we are ever to restore civility to our public discourse, there must be a cleansing of the poisons within our system. Representatives must be accountable, elections transparent and personal invective removed from public debate. We must recognize that those who disagree with us are not necessarily evil.
To restore public confidence, to remove the scent of corruption that, like the stench in New Orleans suffuses Washington, the first step must be to remove the source of the culture of corruption - George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, et. al.
We must not view this as a partisan matter, but as the deepest form of patriotism.
Sincerely,
