Cheap shots and innuendo define the posters more than the candidates

These snarky posts give us nothing in the way of solid information on which to make any sound decision on any of these candidates. Some have all but abandoned any positive discussion of their own candidate's positions in favor of sneering swipes and shallow expressions of antipathy for the choices that the voters have made so far.

I don't fear debate. I am prepared to present my candidate's record and statements on most issues.

I am not interested in the opinion or views sourced from any republicans or from their organizations. I don't fear their attacks, I just don't come to this Democratic board to be exposed to their lies and distortions.

Most of the arguments so far, have centered on IWR,Patriot Act vote, S&B, etc.. Fine.

But without taking the entirety of each candidates statements, actions, and by extension, views, into account we are reduced to a schoolyard type brawl. Lot's of heat, but little light.

Let's make arguments here that will stand the test of time. Let's create a resource here that we can use against Bush. Let us do this together, without undue animosity to Democrats. Without animosity to each other.

9. I haven't engaged in that.
These candidates don't address themselves as harshly as we do here. I believe that all of the candidates have focused on legitimate policy differences more than 99% of the time. Much less here.

11. Well, well well
Every thing listed here is true, isn't it? Is there something innaccurate here? What?

2. The "discussion..."
is similar to the mindless jabber that goes on in a chat room. Also, too much profanity, which is a lazy way to express oneself.

4. The real problem with the cheap shots is that they are boring
There's nothing to talk about when all the poster is doing is hurling insults.

10. Say you will stand for a clean debate
supportable, fact-based arguments. Hopefully accompanied by links, statements, or some confirming reference. If not, how about standing for less vitriol towards the candidates and each other? How 'bout it?
