To those I see on the forum today advocating not donating to the DNC, then this is only a part of what you not supporting.

50 State Strategy: ID, NM, NV

"Starting yesterday and continuing today, the latest batch of organizers for the 50 State Strategy have been in the building meeting with DNC staff. They're from Idaho, New Mexico and Nevada and had a chance to meet with Governor Dean yesterday morning (photos below). The west is clearly becoming more important in electoral politics, and these organizers will be on the front lines as we build for 2006, 2008 and beyond (and without this program, how many Democratic organizers do you think there'd be in Idaho this time of year?)."

2. They've increased the # of PAID employees in Dem Offices..
..throughout the nation. I'm not sure how many states they've added paid employees to, but I know that here in Anchorage.. the Democratic party now employs three times as many PAID employees as the Rethug party has here!

6. 46 states have been funded
116 organizers are now working in the states and territories.

68 have been trained from 16 states.

That's what I've been told.

12. Some groups are advocating third party.
They are using the tactic of announcing they are withholding support from the DNC. Is that ironic? Yes, it is. They supported Dean for chair so they could use him to help tear down the party.

Nothing wrong with wanting to build your own third party, you just don't need to use a Democratic forum to destroy the one we have.

4. Here is the Texas blog at the DNC.
I think each state has them now. I think a lot is going on that is not announced until later. Not sure if the TX political directors have been hired yet, but the blog is interesting.

7. We need to win the Idaho 1st congressional seat
We held it before the 1994 elections, there's no reason that we can't take it back. This is especially true since Butch Otter is leaving it to run for Governor.

10. That's great news. I know Howard is working very hard to
turn the Democratic Party back into the POPULAR Party all across the Country.

I HOPE, as he travels to all the different States, he also gets a chance to do a little candidate training! I realize everyone can't be like Dean and Hackett, but I hope he can convince them to be a lot stronger than they have been!
