Oppose the reverse Robin Hood budget: Sign MoveOn.org's tax vote petition

Oppose the reverse Robin Hood budget

This week, the House of Representatives will vote on a Republican amendment to the budget proposal calling for $50 billion in cuts to vital services like Medicaid, food stamps, and student loans, while handing out $70 billion in tax cuts – largely for the wealthy.

We’re aiming to send in 50,000 letters to Congress in 24 hours.

Republican officials need to know that their constituents oppose this budget proposal, and Democrats need to know we’re counting on them lead the fight in Washington.

Sign the petition here:

4. This is what I said...
"I think the poor, disabled, and underpriviledged have sacrified more than their fair share during this mis-administration. Try cutting elsewhere - start with Halliburton and the mysteriously lost billions in Iraq!"

My congressman is Kevin Brady, a complete Bushbot. He recently was arrested in the Dakotas on DWI charges.

In our area, we have a drunk driving campaign that includes billboards that say, "DWI--You can't afford it."

I had a little fun telling Kevin that our national priorities for the budget should be taking care of American citizens, providing for long-term, workable energy solutions and environmental care of American resources for our children, providing for American health care, American education, American jobs that will employ American people, etc.

In other words, Kevin: W-A-R--You can't afford it.

6. Re: Reverse Robin Hood Budget
I totally agree. We can't sit back and watch while funding for education and Medicaid is cut. This is unacceptable.

REPEAL THE TAX CUTS FOR THE WEALTHY NOW! STOP CORPORATE WELFARE NOW! This REPUBLICAN CONGRESS IS RUINING THE COUNTRY AND THE ECONOMY! Your purposeful sabotage of the middle class is becoming more and more apparent. You are now hurting the poor, and the "least among us" with your immoral and irresponsible budget. STOP THIS INSANITY NOW!

14. They need to ask themselves how immune they are to leprosy
political leprosy that is. I think many of them see this. What's more, they see the risk to their "conservative" agenda.

Chumpy is now a political leper...how immune are they?
