New Blood
Not sure how many will agree with me on this, but speaking for myself, I am SICK of the same old stale candidates, from the beltway, carrying their skeletons around with them, touting their mixed messages and claiming 'new ideas' on how to fix this country. They ARE the problem, but they clearly don't see it that way.

I want to see some new blood, someone new running for President. We've been talking here about 'who' will step up and take the Presidential run in '08. Hillary has been cussed and discussed, Feingold, Kerry, Gore etc..etc.. Same ol', same ol'..

This group isn't going to change anything. They are wrapped up in the same politics that created this mess. We need some FRESH blood out there; someone NOT in the middle of the problem!

Saw a guy named Paul Hackett,(running for local congressional seat) just home from Iraq, on 60 minutes last night. He's from Ohio and WOW, does he have the message we've all been wanting to hear. Check him out...But the point is, it's time to get away from the Washington crowd and find a candidate; perhaps a Governor or a member of a state legislative body. I want a new message for this country, some hope!! The gene pool is empty in Washington, far as I'm concerned.

1. I generally agree, ...
...but I am still supporting Sherrod Brown for Senate. He has never had the same invertebrate problem that a lot of the folks you mention have.

I like Feingold and he is geographically desireable, but no Senator has been elected to the presidency since 1960. I can't even remember the last time a House member was.

I was for Wes Clark in 2004, but switched to Kerry because Clark was out before the primaries got to Ohio. I'm still for Clark. Ohio essentially chooses the president, so we ought to have the first primary.

3. The media had a field day with him, unfairly.
I thought that Iowa yell was a non issue. My concern was that Dean would not be able to convince people that he was better on nat. security than Dubya. Rs has a built-in institutional advantage there for reasons not known to me. In retrospect, we would have been no worse off with Dean and perhaps a little better. (We would have only needed a little).
