Scooter is a rock-solid stalwart of the PNAC, and his loyalties are intertwined with its push to secure the Middle East for its oil, the world dominance of the United States and the unquestioned regional dominance of Israel.

Although many of the PNAC hardcore are Christians of one sort or another (Cheney, Rumsfeld, Jeb Bush) the reality of the affiliations of the rest show an extreme pro-Israel bent well beyond mere religious circumstance (Perle, Wolfowitz, Libby, Feith, Abrams, Kristol, Schneider, etc.)

One can't say things like this without being tarred an anti-semite, but it needs to be said.

What is his first name? He's a despicable creature and that has nothing to do with his religion, but WHY DOES HE HIDE IT? Is it embarrassing? Is it weird? Is it fey like Leslie Blitzer? Is he trying to scoot off as a gentile?

Aw, come on, anybody know? It's almost a blackout on the web.

He was born in Connecticut in 1950, and he graduated from Yale (strange...I seem to have heard of that place somewhere...) in 1972. One of his teachers was none other than Paul Wolfowitz, by the way.

Why would a big, tough and manly guy hide his real name, and if doing so, why would he cling to a pre-adolescent nickname like scooter?

He doesn't just shy away from talking about it, he literally runs from it. Hey, some guys just need to be kicked when they're down...

Like the apprehended suspect in "Dirty Harry", "I gotsta know".

4. Thanks. That makes him the 142nd fastest gun in the west
A hundred and forty one were faster than he, but Irving was looking for 143...

11. So if you go by your middle name (not your "real name" as you say)...
Edited on Mon Oct-17-05 07:48 AM by tx_dem41
you are somehow not "manly". :eyes:

Silly and inane, and, because of that, yes I do definitely question your motive for asking.

12. I think the poster was curious.
I didn't detect any ulterior motive in asking the question.

13. Oh, piffle
The tiresome need of conservative males, Republicans and the assorted reactionaries to prove how manly they are leaves them vulnerable to such slurs. Just as Leslie Blitzer has to rename himself Wolf Blitzer to pump himself up and strut in the limelight, many other would-be tough-guys do the same.

Should one merely cower and accept one's given name? Well, there IS a certain amount of respect for one's parents in that action, but one shouldn't be saddled with a moniker one doesn't like; we humans get, at most, one life, and we have the right to live it as we please up to the point of imposing on others.

Ones who rename themselves tell us all A LOT about what they want to be that they usually aren't.

My curiosity was twofold: does he want to "play gentile", and what name could be such an embarrassment to him that he goes WAY out of his way to not let it be known. He's done everything short of burning birth records to keep it secret.

The blustering puffery of the PNACers is disgusting. As they claim the right to subjugate inferiors, they (like the Nazis) are wracked with haunting feelings of inferiority.

If Donald Rumsfeld wasn't really short, would he need to be such an domineering asshole? If Cheney wasn't frail to the point of pending death, would he need to shoot thousands of farm-raised birds for sport, and would he need to stress his football past and point out how he walked out of a hospital after double knee surgery? (Me? I'd be wheeled out and be spending lots of time with my feet up.) If Condi wasn't a mere mediocre intellect, would she need to be hailed as brilliant and have a doctorate?

Goebbels was an inveterate womanizer, but would he have been if he wasn't very short, dark complected and with a stunted and deformed leg? If Hitler didn't have a deformed dick--this is still conjecture, but there's fair evidence of it just as there is no proof that he EVER had intercourse--would he have been happy with one woman and not have needed every one in the country to need him? It's pretty well accepted that he only had one testicle.

The seething need to hide one's perceived weaknesses is a pervasive trait in nasty people bent on world domination. The need to dominate is an extension of this shame.

I know Junior hates being called Junior, so if I ever get a chance to meet him, I'll address him as such just before I take the incoming cell phone call I've prearranged. I'm going to get a bit of mileage out of Irving, too.

I was also just curious.
