On Feingold breaking with Reid re: Miers nomination
Edited on Fri Oct-07-05 11:33 AM by bee
I hope everyone can forgive his yea on Roberts.

Russ, :yourock:

Story in LBN:

Feingold puzzled by president's Supreme Court nomination

edit to add quotes from the story:

(snip)
"The president has chosen someone here about whom objectivity and independence is a very real question. He's selling this to the American people, saying, 'This is a person I know real well. You should trust me and trust her,' " Feingold said. "This is one of the president's closest confidantes."

Feingold suggested such a nomination was at odds with the founders' ideal of a judiciary independent from the executive. "This really is potentially an institutional question," Feingold said. "

3. Still angry with Feingold.
So he questions Miers' objectivity and independence? John Roberts was a major player in the 2000 Judicial Coup. Roberts has proven far worse than a lack of objectivity and independence; Roberts has proven that he will do ANYTHING to promote his a-g-e-n-d-a.

Roberts and Miers are 2 sides of the same Dubya Penny.
