"US President George W. Bush cups his ear as reporters shout to him"

US President George W. Bush cups his ear as reporters in the distance shout to him as he leaves St. John's Episcopal Church in Washintgon, DC, in 2003. The White House has denied that US President George W. Bush said God told him to invade Iraq and Afghanistan, as a new BBC documentary is expected to reveal.(AFP/File/Paul J. Richards)

2. I remember watching a Frontline documentary on PBS
titled "The Jesus Factor" during which Dr. Richard Land of the Southern Baptist Convention recalled a conversation that took place on the day Bush was inaugurated governor of Texas. According to Dr. Land, Bush said that he thought God wanted him to be president. It doesn't actually say that God told him that, but that was his remark.

4. Fuck the reporters. They won't ask him a hard question
Edited on Fri Oct-07-05 10:41 AM by stopbush
during a press conference, and then they engage in this stupid ritual of shouting hard questions at him when he can't hear them. I'll bet if bush turned around and walked up to them they'd immediately drop the hardball stuff and ask him about brush clearing tips.

Assholes.

5. Maybe he's still listening for "Bianca." If he listens hard enough...
He's "heard from" God. Anything's possible in Shrub-world.
