3. Oddly enough, they don't harp on driver safety

Seems to me that if they wanted to do something to protect 18 year olds of either sex and any color, they would focus on driver safety. More teenagers die from car accidents than anything else and another teen is highly likely to be the other driver. I reckon there are probably exponentially more kids killed in car wrecks than there are kidnapped white girls every year.


But car wrecks are so common place and a lot less sexy.

4. I am going to try to say this in the most sensitive way I can at themoment

My heart goes out to the families of these missing girls. I can't even imagine the loss and devastation they must feel.

However, I am having a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that everytime things get 'sticky' for the White House, a pretty white girl turns up missing. The coincidence is puzzling. Are these cases of LIHOP or MIHOP? I really don't want to be this cynical. Help me out here.

but with all the history-making events of our day someone is force-feeding the producers of these shows.

6. I, too, watched the Rita Cosby show (my nerves grated every time

she opened her mouth; what is it with her voice? Does she smoke cigars or something?) Every few minutes they kept flashing to the site where they found this young missing girl's body.

Do the producers of these shows scour the country looking for missing, pretty, white girls every time ANYTHING noteworthy, and possibly detrimental to the White House comes up?

During the whole hour, not once did Rita mention anything to do with the Miers nomination, the possible indictments tomorrow, or anything. No, it was the missing girl, Pamela Smart, the possible murder of another white mother in Italy, the missing Aruba girl and an interview with her father, etc. Amazing.

ps. I normally try to avoid Rita Cosby at all costs, but I had Keith Olbermann on, and got busy folding clothes, and then Rita comes on....

If you think that's bad, Joe Scarborough is back on the Natalee Holloway trail too. For a while there he was riding the "missing groom from honeymoon cruise ship" to huge ratings. Last night, guess what Rita had on. Missing Groom. It's like they just trade stories of missing people back and forth between each other.
