And once you are not a Union member it seems that the only people going on strike are the ones that got it made. So Democrats lost many of their natural supporters and now are pushed around by corporations that threaten to move to cheaper labor markets. And that's why Democrats have become repuke light. The solution is to push issues that have wide public support like raising the minimum wage, universal health care, and controlling the price of energy-and they need to do it in a loud, coherent, and unified manner.

1. You should also add getting rid of offshore tax shelter loopholes
and pushing for labor standards overseas as well. We buy the shit, and should have some say in how it's made.

3. Agreed
Unfortunately ovedr the years the Democrats stopped fighting gfor a lot of things that should have been natural issues for them.

Always an excuse for it. We need to stop making excuses for failing to push for a liberal populist agenda. People aregetting screwed and they know it.

5. Sorry, i missed just who was supposed to do this. Do you mean the
grass roots Demo's? A lot of good that will do. Kind of like protest marches against the war. Almost no Demo leader supported the protest. They were under their desks counting their stock options. The only way to turn this around is to throw out the Democratic office holders lock stock and barrel. Replace them with people that will support the common person. Maybe one or two exceptions. It is the only way to get their attention. They have been bought out by corporations. They don't listen to us. We shouted at the peace march i was at. Yeah a lot of good that did. Know one was listening. We need to fix the Party, it is badly broken.

6. Great stuff
now get 51% of the Democratic party to do it!

I'll tell you who you don't have to worry about: Durbin, Obama, and Rep. Emmanuel (IL-5). So we're OK here in IL (well my district is) the rest... well... that will take some work.

:sarcasm:
