He has been spending the last half hour on the floor of the Senate honoring dead soldiers from OH, most of them dead several months ago.

He pissed off Ohio's gun owners for the last 2 years with his support of the assault weapons ban and his stance against the pre-emption bill to protect gun makers from frivolous lawsuits. He won't be getting the NRA endorsement in OH this election. He also pissed off his base by joining in as one of the 14 senators that prevented Frist from gutting the filibuster of judges. Hackett has a good chance to unseat Dewine.
