NEW YORK (AP) _ For the second time in recent months, the dean of New York's congressional delegation has questioned whether Vice President Dick Cheney is fit for the duties of his office.

In an interview in August on NY1, the New York City-based all-news channel, Rep. Charles Rangel suggested that Cheney might be too sick to perform his job.

On Friday evening, Rangel was asked in a follow-up talk on the station if he thought Cheney should step down. "He should never have stepped up in the first place," Rangel said. "He's too old for the job and doesn't have the experience."

Later in Friday's interview, Rangel finished off a list of problems he had with Bush administration policies by adding: "I would like to believe he's sick rather than just mean and evil."

3. Clariying last sentence..
So by sick, he's not talking about his heart...well I mean the thing that pumps blood through his body. (What reasonable person could ever imaing Cheney had a heart afterall?)

By sick he means the mental abberance which makes him such a cold fish, never betraying the slightest hint of the milk of human kindness? I guess that is a sickness isn't it, and actually, it would effect the heart too, if only Cheney had one.

4. Go Rangel
It doesn't matter if Cheney is sick or evil. The end results are the same. He needs to be removed.

5. More evidence of Congressman Rangel's bedrock decency.
Would that he lived in a country whose executive branch was as decent as he is.

Dick Cheney is a lying monster. Charles Rangel is an authentic public servant.

7. Correct me if I'm wrong, but
wouldn't that be playing into the GOP's hands?

As much as I dislike Cheney, I really don't want them to have the opportunity to place a 2008 Repub nominee in as vp and give him "experience".
