WP: Libby Is to Cheney What Cheney Is to Bush
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/09/30/AR2005093001218.html

WASHINGTON -- President Bush has Dick Cheney as his behind-the-scenes adviser and problem solver. The vice president has his own man who fits that description: I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby.

His job as Cheney's chief of staff gives Libby extraordinary influence and access in all corners of White House policy-making, particularly national security. But, just as Cheney doesn't talk about his conversations with Bush, Libby does not promote what he does for the vice president.

Unlike many senior White House officials, Libby avoids the Sunday talk shows and rarely is quoted by name.

However, his quiet contacts with reporters have pushed Libby into the spotlight as a grand jury investigates whether White House officials leaked the name of a covert CIA operative, Valerie Plame.

Libby has been identified as a source in the matter for two reporters, Time magazine's Matthew Cooper and the New York Times' Judith Miller. Miller spent more than 12 weeks in jail before agreeing to testify before a federal grand jury on Friday, though she did not write a story on Plame. Bush aide Karl Rove has been identified as another source.

2. Libby is to Cheney what Rove is to Bush - and both Libby and Rove
were leakers. Hmmm. Who do they get their orders from?

3. We knew both Bush and Cheney's hatchet men were the sources.
They'll never roll for their daddies though so Fitz will have to tie them in circumstantially with that memo on AF1 and phone records.
Hope he can do it.

4. If Libby is to Cheney as Cheney is to Bush, then Libby runs the country
This is all crap. It goes like this: President Cheney wanted to fuck Hussein, take his oil, and buttress us from the impending implosion of Saudi Arabia while sucking Israel's dick forever. Since the CIA has this bizarre fealty to truth and reality, he was unable to get them to justify his PNAC world conquest frenzy.

He and Rumsfeld had to go out of their way to manufacture excuses where there were none, and Libby was nothing more than a foot soldier in the process. (Okay, maybe he was an NCO, but that's it.)

Libby was Sneer's hit man, and as such knows that he'll be sacrificed and then pardoned.

Judith Miller owes a greater allegiance to Israel than the United States, and was a mouthpiece for any justification to get rid of Hussein. Her persistent propagandizing for this cause is a sin against the soul of her profession: she is an anti-journalist.

It's the 500 lb. gorilla: those with a blinding love of Israel have married those with a need for world dominance and the control of oil; this unholy union drives our foreign policy, and to say so is to be met with scathing derision.

Libby's nothing more than a latter-day Martin Bormann.
