The "liberal" media and Democratic Party have declined together....
Listening to C-SPAN this morning, Brian Lamb asked the reporters on the panel about how many readers they had lost? All had lost readers and money and mostly blamed it on the Internet. But, all papers and magazines had not lost readers over the same time period? The conservative rags and FOX news had gained over the same time period? Why? Maybe it's the way they present the "news"? Maybe it's how they present the "news"?

1. Fox and Right-wing media have seen massive declines in the last 2 years.
The only sector of the media that continues to grow are progressive radio, blogs and boards, such as our own expanding DU community and Daily Kos.

3. Yes, but....
Progressive talk radio and blogs have a long way to go to catch up with the right-wing propaganda machine. I think we should be supportive of all progressive radio and be cautious about criticizing them into non-existence.

2. I think the decline has something to do with tax cuts
It's always about the money when it comes to political choices

4. The RWs like Fox focus on the conservative issues
Whereas, the Mainstream Media focus is on an inclusive approach that includes the conservative viewpoint. Clearly the solution is for those stations falling behind to address more Progressive issues like social justice in a more positive and affirmative way.
