On the Roberts nomination and my discouragement....

I will check back because I can't be on all day, but I was getting ready to start on the phone calls (again) about the Roberts nomination and it sort of struck me....OK what if we win a round and this works? Won't the f***s just pull somebody exactly the same or worse for every defeat we could manage (assuming we could even do that?) I mean what is the use? - they seem to have endless supplies of evil at their disposal...

1. Sometimes I Feel The Same Way

What motivated me during the election was the thought of the Supreme Court and what Dubya would do to it and what his appointees would do to our rights.

I feel like the battle for our freedom was lost November 2 and it is too late now to do anything about it. Even if we win in 2008, so much damage will be done (judiciary), it will be hard to recover, at the very least it will take a couple of generations.

When John Kerry's and George W. Bush's name have faded into the history books, we will still be bearing the repercussions of this election. What good does it do to fight these judicial nominees now? We can't hold out for four years.

Feeling a lot of self pity - I get to contact the likes of John McCain and Jim Kolbe. I can't bear to think of John Kyl - what is the use?
