My ears must be on the fritz - Tim Russert just aggreed
with Dean's Southern strategy - refusing to talk about guns, God, and gays, and bringing up the economy, healthcare, and education. Does Tim like Dean now too?

1. It takes a leader to show the way.
Dean is a leader.

2. No, Dean is a follower
This is a guy who govered Vermont as a centrist. Then he decided to run for president, and be realized that if he wanted to get the nomination, he'd have to begin pandering to left-wing voters. So out went the old, sensible Dean and in came the new firebrand left-wing Dean.

3. Pandering to the Left
Pandering to the Left has a positive side. It's not like John Kerry who panders to the Right.

5. Remember that Dean never called himself a "liberal" or "left wing"
It's the media whores, the Repukes and the DLC'ers like your buddy Joe who tagged Dean with that label. Dr Dean is still very sensible, to use your own words. Since your favored candidate might be gone from the race soon, you may want to consider that :)

4. You must have heard wrong - Russert would catch on fire if he said
good about Dean. He usually smirks and says something attrocious. I used to like him - I must have been crazy
