Two very interesting items picked up on CNN's Situation Room & Lou Dobbs
No transcript yet of either program, up yet.

Norm Mineta, Secretary of Transportation, said his organization is under FEMA's control, and that when he was told to get 400 plus buses to New Orleans for Friday--the day Bush visited New Orleans (unmentioned by both Mineta and Wolfie) and another 1000 plus on Saturday, he got them there, as directed.

Wolfie was just too damn clueless, as usual, to ask MIneta, "Now what day were you asked by FEMA to bring the buses in to New Orleans to pick up the people being "sheltered" in the SuperDome and the Convention Center?"

On Lou Dobbs it was noted, but left unremarked on, that there were supplies stored in the SuperDome that were somehow not used during the week these people were stranded there. This is really hard to fathom.

I know the folks were basically left to fend for themselves, although Mayor Nagin did visit those stranded in the SuperDome.
