I was watching C-SPAN late yesterday afternoon and was lucky to catch Cynthia McKinney's fiery tirade against the Bush administration's many failures in handling Hurricane Katrina, her comment that someone was going to bring up the "impeachment" word later, and then her getting reprimanded and cut off before her time was up. Then came the the anti-war speech from the republican congressman and then the House abruptly adjorned.
I started watching about an hour ago and all three C-SPAN channels are broadcasting events other than what's going on in the House and Senate. Anyone watch earlier? Did anything interesting happen?

in session today. The Senate was in until about 12:30 or so, but they really didn't conduct any business.
