Lawyers out there: Class-action lawsuit: U.S. Taxpayers vs. B*sh Admin?
Edited on Thu Sep-08-05 08:24 PM by npincus
Crazy idea?

Could U.S. taxpayers sue the B*sh Administration for defrauding us in the past, present and going forward, of our tax dollars: spending our money on an elective war whose rationale has been exposed as a sham? Can we sue to withhold our tax dollars from being endlessly siphoned into this quagmire that was a con job from the outset?

I would like to sue the government to stop them from sending any more of my money to fund and perpetuate the Iraq debacle. Enough is enough.

I am not especially articulate, but I hope you know what I'm getting it. Lawyers: does this make any legal (not moral) sense?

5. Nope. Taxpayers don't have standing to sue the government or officials
It's not that it doesn't make sense: in fact, it makes so much sense that it's been tried and the cases made their way to the Supreme Court to get shot down.
