13. I saw that this morning, my first thought was...
riiiiiiiiight, they let just anyone run up and hug him. Those women were obviously pre-chosen and briefed on what to do. And to top it off it was not a live shot, but had to be taped and sent in. How many black women could stand to hug the chimp.

WRONG with you folks? Seriously...WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?

You have the UNMITIGATED GALL to juxtapose a photo of Bush on 9/11 with his "photo op" today in Biloxi?

PEOPLE DIED.

Do you UNDERSTAND THAT?

People DIED while our "president" remained on vacation. HE PLAYED GOLF. HE STRUMMED A GUITAR.

Did you receive INSTRUCTIONS from Karl Rove?

IS THAT WHY YOU POSTED THAT OBSCENE PHOTO COLLAGE?

WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?

I appreciate your intention of putting these two photos side by side as an attempt to make him appear compassionate.

Nice try.

I only see a pathetic man that reminds me of what a total failure he has been. Perhaps I would be more convinced if he had visited the people in the New Orleans Convention Center. But we all know he wouldn't dare visit there. I see a clean little center was chosen for Mrs. Bush's photo-op as well.

Keep trying to fool yourselves, the rest of us know the truth.

29. That's what I keep thinking and sometimes say out loud.
I struck up a conversation with a couple of young ladies before sElection 2004. One of them said the only reason Bush might get elected is because of Sept. 11.

I replied (paraphrase): but people running through the streets for their lives and planes crashing into shit Kamikaze style are indications of failure, not success, so why is 9.11 a POSITIVE for this miserable little turd.

Somehow, our collective brains have been twisted to think that Bush's biggest failures are his biggest successes.

Hooray! 3000 people murdered. I will wave my flag and cheer the failed leader. I can understand doing that during the in ital shock, it's got something to do with human psychology. But really, three years later, and people cannot figure out that a total failure is NOT an indication of a successful leader?

And that MSNBC can't figure that out is not believable. It tells me they are nothing but a propaganda arm of the one party state.

"In one of the most horrific moments in this country's history, when thousands of people in New Orleans have lost their homes, their families, their lives...when the eyes of the world are watching...when people around the country, around the world are angry, and hurting and crying at the despair, the suffering, the pain our families and friends are going through right now in New Orleans...you have the nerve, the unmitigated gall to post these pictures? These pictures are shameful. These pictures, taken together, are an insult to the people of New Orleans, to the people of Louisiana, to America itself. They are an insult to those who have lost families and friends to Hurricane Katrina. These pictures are disgusting. I demand you remove them from your website"

Are you that Shameless?

Using pictures of Bush at 9/11 to try to take away from the fact that he didn't get out to the hurricane zone till 5 days later, he didn't get aid to the people, and he cut funding to the very levy system that could have prevented the flooding of New Orleans. This is pure propaganda. Are you guys going to the way of Faux News Channel now? I saw a few incidents of real reporting when the reporters actually could get there and see the story and realize the incompetence of the Bush Administration. You will only anger the public more with this propaganda.

20. Here's my email to MSNBC ...
The very idea of putting a picture of Bush waving his flag at the 9/11 site next to a picture of him with a Katrina victim in a pathetic attempt to show him as a compassionate leader!

For God’s sake, this man has to take full responsibility for eating cake and playing golf in Arizona on Monday, and strumming his guitar in California on Tuesday, while people were dying, followed by a very strange sluggishness in getting help to the desperate people on the Gulf Coast.

Where’s Dick Cheney? On vacation.

Where’s Condi Rice? Well, she enjoyed Spamalot on Tuesday night in New York. And when spotted buying $1,000 shoes at Ferragamo’s on Wednesday, she was approached by a woman who asked why she was shopping when thousands of Americans were dead or dying. Condi had her security remove the woman from the store.

Showing George W. Bush, or anyone in this administration, as some kind of "caring" person is a joke at this point. I have nothing but contempt for this kind of photo-op in the face of the worst disaster in our history. Sorry, but your pictures aren’t going to help him now. The administration has proved to be detached and isolated -- and Bush's attitude has been cavalier, at best, to the suffering Americans have watched with horror for the past five days.

Compassionate conservative? George W. Bush is disqualified from ever again using that trite and meaningless phrase. The horse is out of the barn.

Please inform Howard Fineman that four years after the terror attack on the World Trade Center, Osama Bin Laden is free as a bird. Four years after the anthrax attacks that terrorized Americans, the killer is free as a bird.

Are flood victims going to be waiting four years for pResident Photo-Op to actually get off his fat ass and do his job? Shame on you for running Fineman's mindless attempt at Republican damage control while rat-gnawed bodies float neglected in the flooded streets of New Orleans and people die due to incompetence and willful neglect..

Even if they don't read them, they need to know that the very sight of that man is an insult, and dangerous to the health to all decent human beings. And even Republicans I know feel that way now. Here's mine:

......

To Whom It May Concern:

Why are you insulting our intelligence with propaganda pictures of two of George Bush's most disastrous failures? 9/11 and Hurricane Katrina? Is this supposed to elicit some kind of positve response?

The man is a CRIMINAL. He played the guitar while his fellow citizens starved to death. On 9/11, having ignored 52 warnings of an impending attack, he sat and did NOTHING, while thousands more of his citizens were murdered!

If Karl Rove and your 'news' organization thinks there is anyone left in the world with a modicum of intelligence (this of course excludes his ever-shrinking cult followers), who doesn't believe this incompetent, ignorant, arrogant man/child shouldn't resign, then both he and you must be on another planet.

He needs to know that the anger in this country is intense. His PR nonsense only makes me and everyone I know, more angry, if that were possible. Please remove those offensive pictures from your website.

If you can get one of him on his knees begging us and God for forgiveness, that might be appropriate, although Americans are not in a forgiving mood. So stop trying to rehabilitate him. It simply can't be done,

Thank you,

I trust MSNBC will give more balance coverage in the future and take a more critical and factually-based approach.

46. My letter
I am writing about the story on msnbc.com about Bush's response to the Katrina disaster. More specifically, what is the idea behind the photo collage of "hero Bush" in his Iwo Jima pose on 9/11 and Bush again during his much-delayed, photo-op-like visit to the Katrina disaster zone? In neither case did Bush act like the "hero" or "compassionate guy" seemingly portrayed in these misleading photos.

I won't go into detail - you know the facts as well as I do - but will merely say that there is not a heroic, compassionate bone in this president's fit, buff body, no matter how many gushy pictures you publish.

The president is worthless. He doesn't care about Americans. He doesn't care about America.

you should be ashamed of yourselves! To hail this president as some sort of hero, pictures comparing him standing on the mound with the firefighters after 9/11 and him comforting a hurricane victim is absolutely outrageous!!!!

let me clarify things:
there is much evidence that supplies for the hurricane victims were held up until Bush's photo op.
while people were trying to survive he was playing guitar and eating cake
zero tolerance on people desperate for food, water, diapers, formula is disgraceful and embarrassing
there was a BBC special last night that the military was ready and waiting immediately after the hurricane...what were they waiting for?....authorization from the president.

the lack of response from this administration can be likened to a genocide. I am appalled at any type of applause for this administration.
how can you call yourselves "news"?
when are you going to start being on the American citizen's side?
these people were poor and they were mostly black.......they don't count....not in the President's book....do you think this would have happened if they were affluent and rich?

oh..by the way....if you hadn't noticed....

BUSH RESPONDED THE SAME WAY PRIOR TO 9/11.

HURRICANE
WE KNEW THIS HURRICANE WAS COMING
WE KNEW THAT A HURRICANE HITTING NEW ORLEANS WAS ONE OF THREE IDENTIFIED CATASTROPHIC EVENTS THAT COULD HAPPEN TO THIS COUNTRY
BUSH WENT ON VACATION!

9/11
55 WARNINGS FROM DIFFERENT COUNTRIES AND FAA THAT HIJACKINGS AND PLANES GOING INTO BUILDING (Cynthia Mckinney congressional hearing on 9/11 )
AUGUST 8TH PDB: OSAMA BIN LADEN DETERMINED TO ATTACK THE UNITED STATES
BUSH WENT ON VACATION

I would venture to say that this business of propping of this president and this administration based on photo ops and sound bites better stop.....

THE AMERICAN PEOPLE ARE BEGINNING TO HAVE ZERO TOLERANCE FOR THIS KIND OF BULLSHIT....oops...I mean "news"

48. (My response) George Rubble
"...Barney Rubble's not-so-swift brother.

I just saw your juxtaposed pictures of George Bush bellowing into a bullhorn on 9/11 and him sitting with someone on the stoop that used to be the entrance to someone's home.

Thank God for such a fearless President who puts himself in incalculable danger every four years for a photo op.

The inference is obvious and outrageous. MSNBC is trying to rally the troops, the show Bush sitting on rubble to let us know what a great leader we have...

...while tacitly omitting the fact that there WASN'T MUCH RUBBLE TO SIT ON AND BELLOW FROM DURING CLINTON'S PRESIDENCY.

Do you people, a huge news organization, truly need me to tell you assclowns what criminally negligent and casual Bush has been throughout this crisis, a crisis that he'd almost single-handedly helped bring about by withholding for five years in a row the money desperately needed by the Army Corps of Engineers to finish building NO's levee system and to protect the pump stations? Has it been truly lost on you that because Bush wouldn't shell out that $250,000,000 we now have to disburse the first of three ten and a half billion dollar disaster relief packages, which won't do a damned thing to bring back the tens of thousands more that have died on his watch.

Is irony no longer a device that it used by your stupid-ass talking head Max Headrooms?

What you really need to do, instead of helping the fucking GOP circle their wagons, is to DO YOUR FUCKING JOB and report THE FUCKING NEWS instead of being so Goddamned concerned with counteracting the agitprop from the Left who are rightly calling George Bush a miserable, self-absorbed, self-centered little sociopath who doesn't give a drooling, smiling Terri Schiavo fuck about anyone who doesn't contribute at least $25,000 to his campaigns, as he'd vividly delineated in Crawford, Texas a couple of weeks ago.

You people are rapidly acquiring a reputation on liberal blogs and porgressive sites such as Democratic Underground (where'd I'd found your sickening photos) as an increasingly worthless appendage of the MSM, or, as I prefer to call you people, Fox Lite.
