havoc and devastation. Of course, it may be a bit harder to catch him at it.

Can't we just get a constitutional amendment banning anyone from Texas from becoming President? I know they're a lot of really good people who live in Texas but apparently, none of them can get elected. I say we just cut our losses and ban anyone who wears a cowboy costume.

On edit

Jeb isn't from Texas and niether is George so there goes that plan.

25. I believed we were attacked by "foreign" terrorists...
You have to understand. I spent my 20's in the Clinton Era. I didn't give a shit about politics, the dude had it handled. Then literally out of the clear blue sky, I watched a plane smash into a building and I started paying a bit more attention. My only source for news was TV and talk Radio. How was I supposed to know it was all bullshit? I then watched a bit of the Taguba Report on C-Span and realized something was terribly wrong with the media coverage. On the day that C-Span covered that report, that was the last day I believed one word from the talking heads. And then I found out about 9/11. And then the stolen 2004 election. And then I actually cared about the 2000 election. It's been a hell of a year, let me tell you.

But on the bright side, I can now pick about half of our Senators out of a line up. Hopefully, that'll come in useful pretty soon. I have also read our Nuclear Non-proliferation treaty{Iran's right btw, they have every right to peaceful nuclear tech according to that document}, our Constitution, the Declaration of Independence {several times over, though mainly for quotes}, my state's Constitution and lots and lots of other things I really didn't give a shit about. These things have all of a sudden become very important to me. I have read court cases and Justice's opinions, read some of the Federalists papers and have started trudging through the Bible. Just imagine how much I'll know in a few years. Yeah, I'm late to the game but when I'm all trained up, I'm coming to play.

11. Why Does George W. Bush Fly in Drug Smuggler Barry Seal's Airplane?
by
Daniel Hopsicker and Michael C. Ruppert

It has all the makings of a major box office thriller: Texas Governor and Republican Presidential contender George W. Bush and his brother Jeb, allegedly caught on videotape in 1985 picking up kilos of cocaine at a Florida airport in a DEA sting set up by Barry SealÉ

An ensuing murderous cover-up featuring Seal's public assassination less than a year later by a hit teamÉthe members of which, when caught, reveal to their attorneys during trial that their actions were being directed by then, National Security Council (NSC) staffer - Lt. Colonel Oliver North.

Why put the fingerprints of your progeny on a business deal when there are expendable peons available?

17. Lots of free coke, a cool plane ride and no chance of getting busted...
This was part of the Iran Contra Scandal so their actions were sanctioned by President Reagan. Why not send the boys out to a meet and greet coke deal. There's no risk at all when Daddy's VP.

15. It's questions like this one......
Edited on Mon Aug-22-05 10:54 PM by larissa
That really make me miss the format the Clark Community Network (CCN) had during the campaign.

Anyone who visited that site probably remembers what I'm talking about? ;)

Like the format here, you could rate the post up if you thought it was deserving!

BUT.... (here's the kicker).......

... you could also rate the post "down" if -- (like this one) it literally sucked. Sorry RummyFrost :7 :7

Everytime someone would give a CCN post a negative rating, the rating would change. (-2, -4, etc.)

And then =WHAP= after enough members agreed that the post sucked royally, it would disappear! (I forget how many neg's it took to zap a post?)

*sigh*

Anyhow.. seeing posts like this one sure makes me miss that function!!!

18. I accept that this "literally sucks."
It doesn't have the gravitas of a "I'll Support A Democrat No Matter His/Her Philosphy" thread.

I humbly bow my head in shame.

Note: Oh, a Clarker! Have you seen my medals? They're pretty. Look at the shine!
