Plame Cindy

I just saw the blog report on CNN. One reporter said that the right now considered Cindy "fair game". Well, we've all heard this term before in conjunction with Valerie Plame. This means the RW will continue to try to drag Cindy and her family through the mud. They are looking for any and everything they can to discredit her. In otherwords, they are going to Plame Cindy, a private citizen who is asking uncomfortable questions.

Not that this is anything new. Look at what the RW has done to Democratic politicans. Plaming Cindy means that they will continue to go after anyone that opposes them. But what really pisses me off is that at the same time, these people try to stymie information gathering on everyone and everything else. They usually cite "National/Homeland Security", "politics of personal destruction", "what does that have to do with the job they seek" and on and on.

We need to make sure that we hold these bastards accountable. We need to go after Roberts (Pat and John), Rove, Rice, Rumsfeld, Bush, Cheney, Ashcroft, et al as hard and as often as they are go after us.

This is mutually assured destruction in the political sense but rather than moan that we should take the "high road", I am suggesting that once the opposition goes this route of using (pardon the expression) the nuclear option, the other side has only two choices:

be destroyed, or
launch a full-out counter attack.

In the end, of course, politics (or civil discourse) is the ultimate loser. But the stakes are too high to back down.

7. They just don't get it that Cindy doesn't care...

She has already suffered the ultimate pain, and the rest of it doesn't phase her. She isn't running for public office. She isn't losing her job. She isn't a contestant for the Miss America crown. She is resolute in sharing her message and working to keep other kids from dying for reasons that have nothing to do with the security of our country.

Cindy is causing the ratings to drop like a brick. They can smear-lie about Cindy till doomsday, while her numbers of supporters continue to grow.

Anxious for Cindy to arrive in Washington.
