"All Bush has to do is talk to her two minutes...he won't, he's too proud"
Anti-war rally downtown
200 march to Sawyer Point

Kay Allen had never attended an anti-war rally, had never even held a picket sign until Wednesday night on Fountain Square. What's happening to anti-war protester Cindy Sheehan, who's camped out a few miles from President Bush's Texas ranch, motivated Allen to act. "She's just sitting there praying and crying," the Montgomery resident said of Sheehan. "All Bush has to do is talk to her two minutes and he'd neutralize her, but he won't do it, he's too proud."

Allen said she has already telephoned local law officers and FBI officials in Texas to demand they do more to protect Sheehan.

She even tried to speak with the man who attached pipes and chains to the back of his pickup truck before driving into Sheehan's group and knocking over wooden crosses they had set up.

Allen said she plans to leave for Texas Friday and spend a few days protesting with Sheehan.

1. "Proud" is one word for it.
I'd say "sociopathic," but I may be a bit biased. ;)

8. The word that came to me was
"stupid". I think Cindy would make chopped liver of bush..he couldn't hold a candle to her when she asked him "why did my son die?".

bush is a sociopath..one who can't speak without a script or a bug in his ear.

11. Yes, Cindy would make chopped liver of him, if they met publically

But Junior would never allow that. It would be private (not that he'll grant even that much) and I seriously believe she'd provoke him to violence. He's never been subjected to the dressing down that she would give him - except, perhaps, by his own mother. And that wouldn't play out well. I remember one passage in particular in Kitty Kelley's "The Family" where she recounts a story told by Laura, herself, of her having gently criticized one of Junior's earlier speeches. He proceeded to drive their car - with both of them in it - through the garage wall.

This is not a man who takes criticism well. He is not normal.

9. How about "egocentric", "solipsistic", "stubborn", "blockheaded"...?
He's just a typical, puffed up Frat Boy with a self-image problem; all his life he's been strutting and blustering to try to hide the fact that he's a shallow, cowardly nobody with no core personality except for greed and revenge.

Truly, he exemplifies all the bad parts of masculinity with none of the good ones. His arrogant belief in his being part of some sort of justified aristocracy is so deeply ingrained that he sees himself entitled to everything. The vulgarity of his superficiality is just nauseating; he stands for all that's wrong in the dark side of humanity.

10. Exactly. Sometimes what we see is really all there is.
All surface, no substance. Junior acts like a sneering, spoiled, mean, intellectually-challenged, cranky toddler because that's what he really is. He knows it and he loathes anyone else who recognizes that. Even worse, he tries to destroy them. That's why he honestly doesn't care what harm he does to this country (or any other): he wants to hurt the people who do not support him, even if it is more than half of the entire country. It's all about him.

4. And just plain stupid. He could have defused the whole thing............
but he just doesn't have the balls or the personality for it. Cindy should insist on the media being present if he ever does attempt to talk though, that's sure to keep him miles away!

6. protest of his own making
The first two days it was Cindy, her sister and about four other people. Just like Afganistan, he missed a golden oppurtunity and America suffers

7. don't you see?
he can't meet with her. He can't keep up a pretense of normalcy that long. When he met with her after her son was killed, he acted like he was at a party, didn't know her son's name and was totally uninterested in the subject. He's Ted Bundy, people. He can only fake or try to mimic real human emotion, so he can't meet with her because of the risk of exposure.

... he knows his BS about fighting terrorism, bringing democracy to Iraq, blah blah blah won't cut it with Cindy because she knows that's all lies, and she's asking for THE TRUTH.

He can't tell the truth about why he and his cronies invaded Iraq.
