3. They Were Never Stupid, Just Had No Accurate Facts Until Now (Media)
This is why we as a Party should stop trying to be "acceptable" to Republicans, and turn again to the great "middle of the road" Independent and non-committed voter. They are not "conservative," as the corporate consulting firm "D"LC keeps telling us, they are basically uninterested in politics and do not pay attention until there is a big story. Criticize them for that if you want, but they are not just "conservative." Remember, this is the group that suddenly rose out of nowhere to express total outrage at the Republican manipulation of the Terri Schiavo tragedy, opposing it. Act like real New Deal/middle class union Democrats again, and we will get these people back. They need help.

4. i agree
we should be open, honest, AND confident about our positions. i'm tired of holding my tongue about my beliefs - as if what i believe is immoral and sacreligious. we need to take a stand, with or without our "democratic elected representatives." i guarantee they will jump back on our boat once they see we are the ones making waves. if they don't, then they'll go w/ the rethugs (where they should have been in the first place).
