GOP Voter Fraud in NH - The Tobin Case: “How High Does This Go”
The Tobin Case: “How High Does This Go”
August 12th, 2005

More news today on the James Tobin case of thwarting voters in NH in 2002, that I reported on yesterday. Questions have arisen as to why exactly is the RNC paying for Tobin’s legal bills, and there is speculation from some that their doing so suggests that the RNC are protecting others.

Paul Twomey, a volunteer lawyer for New Hampshire Democrats who are pursuing a separate lawsuit involving the phone scheme, said he was surprised the RNC was willing to pay Tobin’s legal bills and that it suggested more people may be involved.

The new development “really raises the questions of who are they protecting, how high does this go and who was in on this,” Twomey said.

Federal prosecutors have secured testimony from the two convicted conspirators in the scheme directly implicating Tobin.

2. you might consider changing you headline to "election fraud,"
instead of "voter fraud." Or was it voters who are behind it?

Thanks for considering my suggestion.

3. Re: GOP Voter Fraud
Thank You!
When I read this article I went nuts! Now: Where is the
Special Proscecutor? As you can see by this link:
http://www.latimes.com/news/politics/la-na-gop12aug12,1,1818923.story?coll=la-headlines-politics
The republican party did in fact commit a crime in the
last election in the state of New Hamphsire. If this
happened there I'd be hard to convince that it was not
wide spread. The RNC would not be spending over half
a million dollars to defend this guy if they weren't
trying to protect themselves, Bush and the lie that
they did not violate Federal election laws! I can't
help but beleive that if this happened there, this
valadates the claims of tampering in Ohio, Florida (ya
think?) as well as other places. I'm old enough to
remember Watergate and back then this kind of activity
was called "rat-fuck" (Re: All the Presidents Men,
Woodward and Bernstine) preformed by Nixons 'dirty
tricksters' and if this isn't a "smoking gun", it damn
sure is a speed-loader. Maybe I'm going too far, but
I honestly think this should be called Watergate 2.
We all know that the Bush family has a choke hold on
the RNC, the pres. knew, again; where's the Special
Prosecuter? This is a high crime and felony!
Not only "How far does this go" but where is the major media??? Where is the Political Fair Practices Comittee? This story has legs and needs to get out!

4. Twoomy...surprised the RNC was willing to pay Tobin’s legal bills
I'm not. Yesterday there was another post (sorry I do not recall the author or title) that gave details of some $1 million in legal expenses paid by RNC to convicted rethug operatives.

Hold on, I'll get a link.

7. DNC: Culture of Corruption Grows: 6th Bush Fundraiser In Trouble
Not the article I was seeking, but in a similar vein. Go to http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=2002866&mesg_id=2002866 , it's an interesting read.

Continuing to search.....
