5. It was on Jon Stewart's TV show
and Biden was just speculating that he'd be happy to run with McCain.

I say :puke: to both of 'em.

IMHO.

12. I won't work for a ticket with McCain on it...
I'd rather vote for Nader, frankly.

McCain is very right wing in his politics. Just the fact he has had issues with Bush doesn't make him acceptable to me...

20. Isnt McCain

Pro Choice? and doesn't he respect the separation of church and state? And isn't he working with Democrats to try to curb global warming?

Im not a McCain apologist, but is he THAT horrific or have I simply misread some of his viewpoints>?

25. McCain pro-choice? I Think Not
Other than an occasional show of decency, McCain is nothing more than a standard 2005 Rethuglican. And one who is willing to suck up to the Bush crowd who slimed him so badly in the past. I have lost all respect for the man.

28. NOT SINCE BOBBY KENNEDY
kwolf 68, that looks like an RFK photo on your post. Not since Bobby Kennedy have I been so inspired by a public figure as I have been inspired by Wesley Clark. Finally a caring compassionate progressive who has the toughness, smarts, leadership background, and ability to inspire to take on the Rethugs in the Red states.
Even mentioning Biden the showboat sellout and RW suckup Mc
cain makes my stomach turn.

14. Biden is working to bring the Red and Blue States together. He wants
to bring unity to the country. He helped give us Clarence Thomas and look at how helpful that has been for party unity. :D One has to think about that carefully.

They're in bed with each other. I mean McCain isn't really a Republican and Biden isn't really a Democrat. A match made in heaven, or somewhere

as he at least considered the idea as a way to heal a split country, although he and McCain concluded it couldn't work

You like to have a Democrat that sells out the Democratic Party every time he can. Biden's only accomplishment is that he is less hated than Lieberman.

parties, of course.

I thought Joe did a great job last night.

But what about Rob Corddry's spot about Bush? There must be a thread about that somewhere around here...

There's an obnoxious car salesman on TV ads in the Capital District who says his deals are "Huuuugggggeeee!"

Was that what inspired the use of that phrase?

38. America is too stupid to be liberal.
I expect this is going to be the way things go. Sorry, but the first thing I thought when I saw Biden on TDS was that the new America will be shifting yet more to the right.
My prediction is America will shift to the right until people hurt. You see, Republicans don't care what's in their rear view mirror. Just make dust, who cares who's in it. It's behind them. But when the pain hits home, they'll be forced to change. It'll be too late. It'll be like Brazil. You see, there isn't much we can do when someone lights our house on fire.

39. Biden
I not an expert on Biden, but I do remember him and Kennedy being the real bulldogs when there were confirmation hearings. Those two would just put on the heat and really go after people (like Justice Rehnquist). Biden seems human to me. :hippie:

I just can't figure out Biden. He does things like you mention and then champions things like the Bakruptcy Bill.

He's either schizo, or genius. My money is on sending him lithium.
