List Pro-Working Class legislation that has PASSED since Reagan???

When was the last time that legislation that offered ANY REAL protection or benefit for Working Class made it to the floor in Congress?

The LAST ONE I CAN REMEMBER was Bill Clinton's HealthCare Plan. Even though it was seriously flawed, it would have offered some REAL benefits to the Working Class. In this case, the Corporate Owned Democrats joined with the Republican Minority to defeat their OWN PARTY's Legislation!!!

Surely it is just my memory. There must have been many PRO-LABOR bills that have, if not passed, at least been debated on the Floor. During the '90s, I wasn't the watchdog that I am now, so alot of stuff that was good for regular Americans must have slipped by me. I have been able to take some comfort that the Privatization of Social Security has been at least delayed, but surely there must have been a small gift to the Working Class since before Reagan? Please list them so that I can take some comfort that our Government is NOT COMPLETELY EVIL, and that some crumbs are still falling through the cracks in the Pig Trough.

Please don't embarrass yourself by pointing to Bush*s Prescription Drug Plan or the SoCalled Tax Cut which actually RAISED TAXES on the Labor Class.

That family leave act vetoed by President George H.W. Bush, then passed and signed by President William Jefferson Clinton comes to mind. Of course, that bit of legislation was passed before the Democratic Party lost control of Congress.

I seem to remember a Minimum Wage Raise, but I'm not too sure. I'm hoping someone can be more specific.

This Country went into the 1970's as one thing and came out as a different critter. Cheap labor policies have been enforced by the ruling classes by only funding those politicians who towed the line on Free Trade Agreements and other wage lowering issues like immigration. They have been very clever at suppressing standard of living issues by empowering the religious right to blame the victim.
